Julie Tarrone is an omega wolf in her pack, Selene's Warrior's Pack. When she turned 18 and didn't find her mate in her pack, her alpha sent her on the Finding Quest. This allows all unmated wolves 3 years to visit as many werewolf packs they can in an effort to find their Fated Mate and keep their species alive.
After not finding her mate, Julie returned home despondent, but a surprise awaited her. The alpha's son had returned from his own Finding Quest three months earlier, also without finding his mate. Imagine both their surprise when they realised they were mates. Only Stefan is not pleased with his Finding.
