It was difficult being the granddaughter of the second most powerful man on The Isles. You had to play the part, sing the songs and act like a lady. But ladies are never what they seem. Alice Phoenix is a normal sixteen year-old girl. She loves nothing more than putting on a beautiful dress and reading a good book. Except her secret hunting trips with her father and taking part in the Young Ladies Bare Knuckle Boxing Club of course!

During a feast celebrating her engagement, the family receive a letter from the young king. His queen - their beloved Megaera Phoenix has passed away. Balthazar, the patriarch of the family does not grieve
for his daughter. Instead, he comes up with a plan.

He sends Alice to the royal island to take her aunt's place as queen. At first, King Uriel is
a dream come true. He holds magnificent feasts and grand balls in her name, and
treats her with the love and respect she deserves. But things soon take a turn
for the worst.

Alicebegins to find evidence that there is more to Megaera's death and Uriel turns
into a monster over night. Feasts become cruel and public executions. Balls are
now spectacles of torture and humiliation. Love and respect replaced with
threats and violence.

Will she solve the mystery behind Megaera's death?
Will she escape back home before Uriel kills her? Or will she rise like a Phoenix from the ashes and
conquer as a queen?

I will be posting this in its raw, unedited form for the #JustWriteIt challenge. After I have finished the challenge I will create a new, edited version. Enjoy.

The Lost Life of Laraine by BearGoRawr
56 parts Ongoing
She lead a rather tragic life. The black sheep of her family due to her lack of affinity for fire. Her affinity was quite the opposite. Water in fact. Already in a time when women did not really have much political power or rights, she was outcasted by her family despite being of nobility. Still allowed to live in the distant west wing of the massive Grand Duke's manor, she has never eaten a single meal with her family nor extended family, and has spent her loneliness in her books and sword lessons. Although only taught by the head butler and one of the low ranked knights of the family, she was quite bright and if her family would have given her a chance she would have done great things. If only she didn't die at such a young age. Married off to some "hero" of sort that had slayed the Dragon of the North who was terrorizing the land and threatened the kingdom, this hero also had an affinity for fire and held her in disdain like the rest of her family. Suddenly a girl of another world was transported to their world, picked up by this hero and put into his secure care. The pair soon fell for each other despite the hero's marriage, and many believed Laraine got jealous of this girl of mystery, and tried to kill her. This was definitely not true. But because the girl was favored by the temple and kingdom Laraine was quickly arrested and put on trial. You can probably tell what happened to Laraine. But something strange happened the day of her execution. As soon as her decapitated head hit the ground the sky turned blood red and it began to rain fire. No one survived that day. But for some reason time went back, and Laraine was back to being a child, but with no memory of her future. There were select few in her life, however, that remembered her tragedy and now perhaps will take action to prevent it. NOTE: I'M AWARE THERE ARE A LOT OF INCONSISTENCIES. IT WILL BE EDITED SOME DAY BUT RIGHT NOW I'M JUST TRYING TO FINISH IT.

Being rewritten [Book 1 of The Demoness's Chronicles] Alice was abandoned at the gate of the orphanage as a baby during a cold winter night. She got abused by the children and ignored by the caretakers except for a hand few in the orphanage. The reason was that she was at the bottom of the food chain as she had the least amount of mana. She wouldn't be able to cast a single spell even if she had a secondary [Uncommon] element as her element as she would have insufficient mana to power it up. Her two best friends, Mika and Yuu, who are also her big brothers in all but blood, have the most amount of mana that they could be acknowledged as a blessed OR gifted child. They were there to help, protect and comfort her when she was in pain, felt lonely or needed them. Until one day, her life started to change and her wheel of fate started moving. She had gained a new family with Mika and Yuu but found out that there was a huge conspiracy going on that caused her abandonment and was linked to her family's legacy. They say love conquers all. His shattered the fabric of reality and began a world-altering change that would eventually shift the concept of life and death forever. 🌺💛👑💛🌺 Phil wasn't exactly the best at being the boy-next-door. Shy, clumsy, and highly insecure with his life as a whole - he was the complete opposite of his girlfriend, a bubbly nerd named Ella. But like Yin and Yang, the two of them were inseparable... at least, until the night of Ella's sixteenth birthday, when she died in his arms after an unexpected shooting. Traumatized and blinded by grief, Phil took his own life only three months later on his seventeenth birthday, but instead of finding his much-expected peace in the afterlife, he somehow ended up on a parallel world called Atlas as an almost monstrous-looking version of himself. Trapped in the kingdom of Aerika, a bizarre place chock full of things like magic, elves, orcs, demons, faeries, squirrel-riding women, assassins, a tyrannical hierarchy, and everything else under the sun, he finds himself very confused and depressed. But before he can begin to make sense of anything, he's captured and caged like an animal by a ruthless girl who looks and sounds exactly like his late girlfriend. Is this his own, personal hell? Or is it a second chance? And if it is a second chance... does he even want to take it? (Highest Ranking - #8 in Fantasy!!!!! ❤) (TRAILER INSIDE) Copyright © by Aaron Ledgers. All rights reserved.

"Have I ever told you the story of The Phoenix Girl?" My Grandfather asked. "No, you have not," I said. My Grandfather was like any other old man, but his mind was far from ordinary. All grandfathers are alike, each one tells you stories about wars or the good old days. But not my Grandfather. He was a storyteller, but his stories were always different. He would just come up with the stories, and they would be so enrapturing to me. It hooked me from the beginning until the moment I had to leave. But then one day, he told me a story that would change everything for me and my Father. This story called the Phoenix Girl. It's a story of a girl who goes through hardships and struggles in her everyday life. They punish her for things she has no control over, but then she faces it all. She is reborn from the ashes of the flames that had consumed her. She is stronger. But what if this isn't just some story that my grandpa came up with? What if something connected her to my family? What will happen now that the truth is out there? Why was this story so important? What will change? Who is this Phoenix Girl? [Please note that this story is complimented but is under heavy editing at the moment]
