To protect himself from being bullied about his sexuality ever again, he decides to keep it a secret, but most importantly, he decides to be a homophobic asshole. The pressure of keeping his secret causes him to be depressed to the point beyond repair, but Tyler thinks he can repair him, by blackmailing him to join the school's GSA club, but Troye then identifies as a straight member.
