Zodiac , killer dello zodiaco in italiano, fu un serial killer statunitense, attivo nella California settentrionale dalla fine degli anni sessanta fino alla metà degli anni settanta. Era solito mandare alle autorità lettere contenenti confessioni, minacce, messaggi cifrati e cittogrammi: Molti dei quali sono ancora oggi irrisolti. L'ssassino uccise con certezza cinque persone, nonostante nelle sue lettere il killer si attribuí l'omicidio di dodici vittime. Nel corso degli anni la polizia, basandosi soprattutto su impronte digitali e sul confronto della calligrafia delle lettere di zodiac con quelle dei sospettati , arrivò a stipulare una lunga lista di indiziati, Nessuno dei quali però venne incriminato con certezza.
Questa è una storia basta e sviluppata su fatti reali, è il frutto di molta ricerca.
