It's the Roaring Twenties. Prohibition may be enacted, but liquor runs like waterfalls in illegal speakeasies, where vivacious young flappers are all doing the Charleston (and other bad things). The country is effectively run by gangsters like the notorious Al Capone, who run the alcohol trade (among other things). The economy is the best it's ever been and (almost) everyone is doing wonderfully. But 17 year-old Snow has never heard of the Charleston, or flappers for that matter. No, her stepmother keeps her in the house at all times, doing chores and staying hidden. But one day, she has enough. Packing up only what she can carry, Snow heads for the city. But what will await her there? And what is her stepmother plotting with that man Mr.Mangreta? This is my first story so I'm just kinda playing around with it :) we'll see how it goes. Thanks for checking it out!! -Michelle
