The issue with finding your soulmate and instantly acting in love is that - they may be destined to play a role in your life but throwing yourself into a relationship with someone you just met isn't always going to end in sunshine and roses. There was a heavy assumption that a soulmate was your true love, which lead to relationships facing hardships, gaslighting and abuse - excuses being 'but we are destined to be together'.
