As Daryl and Elena return home, they're stopped by a group of motorcyclists claiming to work for "Negan." Daryl eliminates the threat, but when they finally reach Alexandria, it's overrun with walkers. The group fights to protect their community, but the cost is devastating: Deanna, Jessie, and her children are lost, and Carl is gravely injured. With resources running low, Rick and Daryl meet Jesus, a stranger with ties to Hilltop. In exchange for food, the group agrees to fight Hilltop's oppressors-the Saviors.
