Savitri

"Cursed, the child must be killed or the whole Illam would be damned", spat the midwife , who was also a famous soothsayer in the region. It was believed that when a child is born from the mothers womb after killing the mother that she is cursed and is the harbinger of destruction. Tie her up, she will be tried before the council for killing my daughter and attempting to kill my Savitri." with that been the Nambhoothiri clasped the child tightly in his arms and walked away. His receding figure and words were a reminder that he was still in power and his wrath will fall upon anyone who will ever cross Savitri.Thus Savitri without even knowing had gained her first enemies just moments after her birth.
