the universe could never be against these two, could it?

Keith and Lance had been joined at the hip ever since they were young. always getting into trouble, and never really caring because they always had each other. they couldn't ever seem to rid themselves of the friendship that they had forged, even way into adulthood. they had chosen to go into the same professional field of work and even got assigned as partners for the government agency in which they worked for.

they argued very little and always seemed to keep up their professional front. however, when one day sends them on a mission to disarm a ticking time bomb, the two are too late and end up getting killed by bits of shrapnel and the sheer force of the explosion. yet, just before they die, time reverses to two hours prior to the explosion and reverses the effects of the previous detonation. they are completely in tact and fine, apart from the fact, they can't leave the room, and they can't seem to disarm the bomb.

is fate telling them to completely relive their death scenes all over again but this time for real? or is some miracle going to save them from the death that they could experience, leaving them walking out of that room with something more?

Teased, pushed around, brushed off, alone: all words Lance McClain believes perfectly describes him. The phrases his "friends" use to prod and tease him cut deeper than they intend and he doesn't let the world see how broken he is. But Keith sees. Keith Kogane, Lance's best friend, has realised they've been growing distant and doesn't know how to talk to the person he's grown fond of and would trust with his life as his right hand man. All he wants is to fix Lance but Lance won't let him in. Earth is where they are heading and where they end up, their reunion at the Garrison with family and old friends sweet - but Lance just wants to go home and take a break from the people he's spent years in space with that he believes hate him. But when he does go home, he's caught off guard by a horrific surprise that sparks their next mission against their long-time enemy Sendak, intensifies Lance's own mental struggles, and causes the tipping point for the "slowburn romance" between he and his 'rival.' Taking place in the events after season six (and before seven), this is the story of Lance who's a boy with a broken heart and confused moral compass and of Keith, who's the boy to help Lance face his demons while he tries to conquer his own in the process. Trigger Warning for: suicidal thoughts, gore, mentions of blood, and mentions of abuse Art by Joleanart!! (This story will also have fewer chapters and two smut chapters that you can skip without missing the story too much. I don't plan on making this super drawn out. The point will get across and I hope my story does too.)

Don't Forget About Me (Previously, Keith Isn't Dead)

17 parts Complete

Keith is under the impression he's not wanted, so it only makes sense to him that, should the situation arise, he would be the better candidate for being sent god-knows-where by a wormhole aimed directly at Voltron- the team, well... the team just wants Keith back. or Keith Self-Sacrifice Kogane lands himself on a hostile alien planet and finds himself in the hands of merciless alien researchers who don't fully understand the concept of pain, nor the concept of humans. And they want to know more. The question is, can the paladins find their missing friend before it's too late, or will their duties as Defenders of the Universe sidetrack them enough that Keith is pushed to the backs of their minds?
