Gumball was hanging out with Darwin and Carrie, at the mall, however, Carrie wants to go to a certain story in particular, that would Chang Gumball's sense of fashion, and a new point of view of what he likes to ware fashion wise. But when Penny Breaks up with him, Gumball becomes heart broken, in til after a wile, he starts developing a crush on his Nemesis, Rob. Meanwhile Rob is still guilty about the nemesis thing.

With the entirety of Elmore, and possibly the world, at stake, the two lovebirds are indirectly sent on a journey both physically and emotionally. Gumball is now introduced to the darker side of the fairy's emotions and her feelings about herself and her powers. He is completely confused and isolates himself from the world, but gumball, since their rekindled friendship, begins to grow worried, having not seen Marshal in a while. One night, Marshal visits him, and nearly collapses in pain. Not knowing what to do he brings him to the and kingdom hospital. They don't know whats wrong with him so they kick him out, Gumball ends up bringing Marshal to His castle and tries to care for him But since Marshal now has feelings for Gumball, his revived heart beats faster. Gumball had asked him on multiple occasions what was wrong, but all he got in response was "it hurts" and after Gumball comes and sits next to Marshal, he hears marshal saying that the pulsing got faster. Asking where it was, and finding out it was his heart, he is shocked. Etc etc etc.
