A case goes wrong when feds are called to assist your investigation, and it's mostly because of you. Instead of avoiding the matter like you usually do, you send an apology email to the calm, collected, ever-serious unit chief, SSA Aaron Hotchner, in hopes you can better understand your mistakes - and how NOT to repeat them. What you don't realize is that sends everything into a wholly different direction, and you realize it too late. A chain of emails starts up between him and the actual person whose email you had been logged on: your fellow, male detective, who you now have to pretend to be.

(Elevator pitch: you ask for help from hotch, not knowing you're still signed in from your male coworker's email. You keep up the ruse and neither of u knows what u signed up for)

Slowburn! Friends to lovers! And quite a lot of emailin/texting! (Bonus: huge misunderstanding!)

Six months after Aaron and Emily separated and during a night out with their team, they found themselves alone, intoxicated, and dangerously close. To prevent themselves from repeating past mistakes Emily proposed an arrangement. And they agreed- It was just sex, purely physical, devoid of any lingering emotions or attachments. They both labeled the longing and old feelings they experienced as a combination of satisfaction with the convenient deal and a natural attraction. However they also acknowledged that it would eventually come to an end. They agreed that once one of them met someone new, they would stop. Aaron eventually did and was ready to move on. Weeks later, Emily took several unexplained days off, leaving Aaron confused when she finally returned, she acted coldly, making it clear that she no longer wished to be around him. As a result, they grew distant from each other, giving up the ability to communicate. Will their relationship change when they go undercover to apprehend a serial killer? Secrets, grudges, and guilt come into play. Will Emily ever reveal to Aaron what happened? [𝐅𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦 𝐝𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧 𝐔𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧]

--on hold-- [redamancy]: the act of loving in return Dr. Spencer Reid did not need a therapist. But after the events of Tobias Hankle and his subsequent reliance on dilaudid, his friends at the BAU disagreed. For the sake of his career, his friends couldn't just send him anywhere. So Hotch picks someone trustworthy. Someone looking for new patients. Someone he knows will be discreet. His sister-in-law. Dr. Megan Brooks was not looking for love. In fact, her move from her beloved town of New York City to D.C. had been to get away from some unwanted attention. The police couldn't do anything when extravagant bouquets and long, handwritten letters showed up at her apartment, because a crime hadn't yet been committed. But her brother-in-law, Aaron, knew what he was seeing and encouraged her to move closer to he and Haley, hoping the stalker wouldn't follow. Neither of the doctors had their wishes granted. disclaimer: the characters of the criminal minds franchise and some of the inspiration for my plot (specifically, derek's plotline w his cousin cindy and season 3 episode 18 "the crossing" for the details of the case and profile) do not belong entirely to me, however meg and her storylines are completely my own, so please refrain from copying them :)
