'The Government Game' is a Game imposed by the Democratic Peoples of Australia's Government. Each year, on a randomly selected night, a number of contestants ranging from five to sixty (another random factor) are taken from their beds and made to participate in the Government Game. You can either volunteer as a contestant, typically those who are extremely desperate and need the victor's prize; or, if not enough contestants have volunteered, random persons aged above seventeen are taken in the same manner. The prize? A lifelong pension from the Government, a large sum of money, and almost anything the victor wants for up to six months after the Game. In order to win you must kill your way to victory. Each contestant is given a daypack with bread and water (bread representing the Supreme Leader's outer body; the water, the inner body) as well as a random weapon or item. In this brutal, callous game, who will come on top?

Chosen by lottery, a group of people are given a second chance at life. They are revived into a closed space in a game of kill or be killed. But who will live? And who dies? _________________________________________ "Welcome to the Afterlife Intermission." I felt dizzy. My vision began to cloud at the edges and my hands were sweaty. A bead rolled off of my forehead. I could feel a radiating heat wavering off of my body. Afterlife Intermission? "In the Afterlife Intermission, you are not alive- nor are you dead. You are not in heaven, nor in hell." _________________________________________ "...to learn how to live, you sometimes need to learn how to die," she walked over and grabbed my wrists, guiding the gun to her mouth. _________________________________________ Life is a fragile thing. Let's let our futures intertwine.
