In the midst of an eons-long war between Heaven and Hell, the brave and solemn angel soldier Tsukino finds himself captured by a demon who claims to have fallen in love with him at first sight. Without the connection to his god in a strange new realm he was taught to fear, he discovers his own free will and comes to an independent understanding of the universe he lives in and the conflict he was born into.
