Bella Owens is homeless due to running away from her abusive boyfriend after 4 years with him. She has run away for the sake of her unborn baby (and herself) but feels defeated as she struggles with being homeless. That is until she meets Brodie Corbin after he saves her life and decides he wants to help her, which she accepts with reluctance due to his wealth and not wanting to take advantage of his kindness. With new friend Brodie's help, Bella is able to start rebuilding herself to be the best version of herself that she can be, similar to how she was before she met her ex. Brodie is also dealing with a few things, like his career, an obsessive ex-girlfriend, and a past that he isn't proud of, while he starts having feelings for Bella. Little do Bella and Brodie know, but Bella's ex-boyfriend, Jason, is looking for her, adamant that he won't stop until they're reunited and back home together, back to how they were before she left.

Will Brodie be able to help Bella?

Will Bella truly be free from her ex, with her unborn baby?

Will Bella be able to move on and fall in love again after what she has been through over the last 4 years?

Or will Jason find her and get her back?

"I'm so sorry! This is all my fault! I should have protected you! I'm so sorry Koby" I sobbed loudly. "It's okay. It's not your fault" Koby weakly said. "It is! No one should be exposed to this. Not now, not EVER!" I yelled. "Calm down, mom. I'm okay. He didn't rape me. The stupid son of bitch couldn't even figure out my zipper" she joked as she wiped away her tears. "Why was he here? Was he looking for your uncle? Did he say ANYTHING?" I asked. "He said he was here to collect a debt Uncle Eddie owed, but I know that he's been working every night to pay them back. I'm so confused. Maybe he's been lying about actually going to work at night. Maybe he's gambling behind our backs again. Where the hell is Eddie? I'm going to fucking kill him!" I shouted right as I bolted for the door. If you are looking for your boy meets girl and fall in love story, this is not the novel for you. It is just the opposite. Love, violence, mishaps, and intrigue define this saga. Unfortunately for Jakoby, from the very beginning life has thrown her curve balls, but she has managed to conquer what some consider to be impossible. Even after overcoming the truth of being conceived under unfortunate circumstances, ending up having to make tough personal decisions, and losing those who should have cared for her didn't break her spirit. Years later, her life takes a turn for the better after a few horrifying unpredictable years. What happens when one of Jakoby's decisions end up making her future unpredictable? What happens when the lessons she left behind travel back to haunt the life she's established for herself?

Sixteen year old, Bella Harken, has knowingly taken one of the hardest jobs she's ever had, or ever WILL have. She is the nanny for the dreaded Sweeny siblings. There are four of them. Owen (17), Eli (15), Danny (10), and Lucy (3). Despite the protests of her over-protective siblings (she's the ninth member of the dozen Harken "siblings"), she decides to live up to the challenge. She's never backed away from a challenge before, so why start now? Even if it means "babysitting" a boy that she's known since she was six. The Sweeny brothers, will do ANYTHING to get rid of Bella for good, so that their mother will FINALLY remember that they exist. Besides, battling Bella in the game of wits and pranks has been far more fun than they'll ever let her know. After a year, they still have not come to terms with the fact that she's there to stay. When one normal seeming weekend, begins to slide downhill at a rapid pace, Bella's rocky, mysterious past begins to haunt her, and the rest of her town. Will the Sweenys and the Harkens finally rebuild the bridge that had been torn down in an equally as mysterious strife, or will they revert back to the hatred and loathing they've known for so long? How will one weekend change the lives of these average teenagers forever? *~*~* A/N: I wrote this story as a challenge for myself in December of 2011, I wanted to complete it before the new year. And I did. This is the final product and I haven't really looked at it or edited it since, so I apologize for any mistakes and/or plot holes. Please enjoy, and let me know what you think. Thank you so much for reading.

*COMPLETE* "You could stay with me." Delilah Lasting- or 'Lilo', to the few who are close to her- all but gave up her whole life when her father fell fatally ill. These days, she spends most of her time as his carer: managing his medicine and the housework, all the while balancing home duties with her studies. Nobody helps her- not another family member, and certainly not her old friends, including the ex-boyfriend who broke her heart. Enter Khan Farid- the mysterious, charismatic new boy at school. Khan is as charming as it gets... on the outside. Inside, he hides a multitude of secrets that could threaten his family's security, and even their lives. Following a disastrous first meeting, Lilo wants to avoid Khan at all costs, but when the two get roped into doing lights for the school production together, this resolution is harder than ever to maintain. Especially as Khan seems to be the one person in her life who actually seems to care. But worlds keep Lilo and Khan separate, and they're both soon to learn that no matter how much you love a person, it means nothing if you don't understand them. Both suffer within their life experiences- but that kind of connection only lasts as long as both sides keep trying. Will their struggle to maintain their relationship prove that two broken hearts don't make a whole? Or will it be the other way around?
