Aklez Saraha dreams of strange things at night: arrows falling from the sky, meeting an old lover in a world that is beyond human, and poetry that speaks but is not spoken. When awake, though, he leads a secret band of "criminals" whose "crime" is bringing down sexual predators that manage to avoid prosecution on account of being part of the corrupt government of the Kingdom of Vhalara. The country-and the world, however, are plunged into chaos when the High Priest of Hurmraba, the Sacred Sanctuary of Vhalara, is murdered. The Sacred Sanctuary is a religious site for all peoples of the world, and to spill the blood of its inhabitants is a grave sin recompensed with nothing less than death by international law. Chaos erupts. Deep within the walls of the royal palace, a power struggle ensues. Different factions of the royal family seek the throne as the aged King Sufyan nears death, pulling Lohya 'Adnani, the great-niece of the King, into a deadly conflict. Lohya's father will stop at nothing to become King, and as siblings and cousins are a hair's breadth from civil war, the air gets tenser than ever. Taking advantage of the situation, a poet from the city of Yuda-Aklez, leads a rebellion against the State and makes a decision that sends shockwaves across the country. Before he knows it, Aklez's dreams come to life and reveal a world of dark magic that should have only existed in ancient folklore. ***** Inspired by Islamic Mythology and the Nasuverse, Dawn's Fountain is a story about love and struggle in a world that only sees power. /*DISCLAIMER: The image for the cover was taken from Pinterest. Primsharah will become the center of a deadly play, with the powers of the gods themselves at stake ... *** Refusing to watch his family crumble beneath the weight of poverty, Arran has resorted to stealing from the rich to provide for his mother and sister. His ability to bend light prevents him from being caught ... until one day, he is. His captors have no intention of turning him in, though, instead making him an offer that he cannot resist, but which will change the course of his future forever. Meanwhile, Princess Serafina, heir to the throne of Primsharah, welcomes an unusual suitor in the royal palace. This stranger brings a dangerous gift for her father: the Sphere of Truths, one of the ten World Artifacts, created by the gods themselves. As the Shah sinks deeper into his obsession with the Sphere, Inna starts experiencing visions about a thief stealing another Artifact, the Amulet of Doom. A deathly curse is bound to the Amulet, and its theft will set in motion a series of events which might destroy Primsharah for good ... and the world along with it. Together, Arran and Inna flee across the desert to find out who is stealing the Artifacts and why. But Arran's time is limited as the curse flows through his veins, with no hope for salvation save for the stubborn princess who is determined to see his survival. Magic, desert and creatures of myth weave a tale of fragile hope, large-scale betrayal and fierce friendship between two people whose fates should never have crossed paths at all.
