Dawn's Fountain

Aklez Saraha dreams of strange things at night: arrows falling from the sky, meeting an old lover in a world that is beyond human, and poetry that speaks but is not spoken. When awake, though, he leads a secret band of "criminals" whose "crime" is bringing down sexual predators that manage to avoid prosecution on account of being part of the corrupt government of the Kingdom of Vhalara.

The country-and the world, however, are plunged into chaos when the High Priest of Hurmraba, the Sacred Sanctuary of Vhalara, is murdered. The Sacred Sanctuary is a religious site for all peoples of the world, and to spill the blood of its inhabitants is a grave sin recompensed with nothing less than death by international law.

Chaos erupts. Deep within the walls of the royal palace, a power struggle ensues. Different factions of the royal family seek the throne as the aged King Sufyan nears death, pulling Lohya 'Adnani, the great-niece of the King, into a deadly conflict. Lohya's father will stop at nothing to become King, and as siblings and cousins are a hair's breadth from civil war, the air gets tenser than ever.

Taking advantage of the situation, a poet from the city of Yuda-Aklez, leads a rebellion against the State and makes a decision that sends shockwaves across the country. Before he knows it, Aklez's dreams come to life and reveal a world of dark magic that should have only existed in ancient folklore.
