As his home life crumbles before his eyes, Dillan Jones struggles to keep himself from breaking down. In an attempt to help him, his father sends him away to his distant grandmother's house. However, he quickly learns that there's more to his mysterious family than both he and his own grandma thought.
While digging into their twisted past, Dillan stumbles upon an old necklace and accidentally activates a keystone, which zips away to a strange and hostile new world.
After being saved by a mysterious, yet eccentric group of people, he learns that they've all been trapped in this world for the past two years. A boy named Aiden King is living his normal teen life when his dad suddenly takes him, his cousin, and his uncle for a hunting trip in the forest.
