Althea Woods is twelve years old. She's a totally normal kid. She struggles with homework, crushes, and bullies.
Oh, and she's also the famous superhero Elemental. (But shh- not even her best friend of seven years knows that!)
The new girl at school seems normal, but she rubs Althea the wrong way for some reason. Is it because she speaks, dresses, and acts as if she's from the mid-1900s? Or because of her bright blue eyes that seem to almost glow?

I pushed him with as much force as I could, which made him stumble slightly, but he succeeded in maintaining his balance and escaped falling. That was when I got a chance to see his face. Oh, my gosh!! He is so handsome...wait...I have seen him somewhere...somewhere...what the...!! He...he is Mr. Shane Adams, the CEO of Adams' Empire. But why the heck did he kiss me? Did he misunderstand me for someone else? "How dare you push me? Do you even know who I am?" He asked, angrily. "Don't give me that shit of 'Do you know who I am?' I know who you are, but how dare you kiss me without my permission?" I spat back. My statement fueled his anger, and now he was extremely furious. He had his hand balled into a fist. He slowly came closer to me and stopped just inches from me. "You lousy mouse. You are nothing but a slut. Do you hear me? You are.a.slut!" he whispered into my ear from my back, holding both of my hands tightly. I could no longer take it, as I was beyond furious at this point. I punched him hard on his handsome face, and the side of his lips started bleeding. Serves him better! And that was how Lara and Shane met. They weren't opposites. They weren't alike either. ONC entry for 2024. Prompt 49: Being a superhero is just too boring. Let's be a villain! 15-years-old Marissa Everstar makes a Faustian bargain to receive superpowers, in the hope they will make her famous. But when being a superhero turns out to mainly involve boring work that does not get her the immediate popularity she craves, she shifts gears and becomes a villain. Trigger warning: contains descriptions of physical and emotional abuse, blood and gore. Excerpt from chapter 2: I carefully begin pouring the white powder onto the floor, drawing a large pentagram. I spend a lot of time on the intricate details, making sure everything is perfect. The summoning circle quite small, but it will have to do. I clap my hands twice and hear a soul-crushing scream that appears to pierce my body to its core. Hearing the sound fills my stomach with butterflies and gives me a fuzzy feeling. I haven't heard a single sound in almost a year. Following the scream, a shadowy figure emerges. He appears deep black, littered with stars, as if a human-like shape has been carved out of the universe, but also strangely transparent, as if made of glass. His long arms end in clawed fingers, and his ears and horns are goat-like in appearance. On his back are two bat-like wings. He speaks in a deep voice-the only one I've heard in a long time. My Misconceptions
As an orphan, Emma Johnson never exactly believed in miracles or magic of any kind. Or even the proclaimed superheroes everyone loved. That all changed the fateful night when she was mugged and attacked. At that point in her life, she had come to the conclusion that she wouldn't amount to much, and as she lied half-conscious on the ground, she couldn't help but think that she deserved this kind of death. She didn't want it, but it seemed appropriate to someone with nothing to call her own. Then in swoops in her own personal superman, saving her and taking her back to his place where she wakes up the next day. She is then surprised to find that everything she thought was fake before, was suddenly coming to life before her eyes.
