When the Malum come to the beloved land that is the Stone Owl, they bring much terror to the many colonies. Balthazar, the leader of the Malum, who has sworn to take over the Stone Owl( the land which was granted to the ancient people by the Goddess Athena), as a way to seek revenge on the Goddess whom created it, has brainstormed a complicated plan to become the supreme ruler of the Stone Owl.
So when he begins to slowly decrease the population of the remaining races that inhabit The Stone Owl, three teenagers decide to do something nobody would dare to do; fight back.

Gwyneth had always felt connected to her faith, a higher power presiding over her. I look up in anger at the man who was now towering over me, his nostrils flared as he took heavy breaths in and out, staring down at me in rage. I mirrored this as I looked up at him, my own anger causing my shadows to whip around sharply. We stare at each other in the eyes, neither of us backing down as the other two shout at him trying to call him off. His shadows come dancing around him to meet mine in turn. A moment passes and it feels as though the shadows part to reveal an invisible string tying us together. Just as the mating bond snaps into place.
