I also have to mention that in this fic Mono is 17 and Six is 16, and they are already bonding. Here's where the fic takes place: (Long answer for those who don't know) So basically "spoilers for The Seven Year Nightmare here" After Six betrayed Mono, Mono used his powers to teleport and go through the TV. Then, he and Six had a fight which caused them their scars and left on their own ways. 7 years later, Six found New Dream, a village that Mono is running. Now, blah blah blah we go over the events of the Seven Year Nightmare and to a point where they have feelings for one another, and are bonding. They just defeated an enemy called "The Eyes" and "saved the world". Now they are in Six's home and Six learns more about her powers through a book. (Short answer for those who know): Right after the death of The Eyes. Enjoy.

He smiled warmly up at her, tears spilling over. "I'm sorry," he choked out, and he really was. The last thing he wanted was to leave Six all by herself. He knew loneliness all too well. But at least, this way, she would be able to live her life, far away from the cruelties that threatened them every minute as they had gotten closer to the Signal Tower. After the Signal Man had taken her, he devoted himself to getting her back no matter the cost. There was no price too big to pay. He would give up everything for her. Alternatively: If given the choice, Mono would totally sacrifice himself to save Six, if the circumstances were set up that way. Basically, the ending of Little Nightmares 2, but slightly different. The real ending broke me, and was nothing but angst, so here's angst with a happy ending. Beware of spoilers. Also, the mass of flesh and eyeballs is officially called the Squirming Abyss, so I will be referring to it as such.

Book 3 of 4 Six has escaped from the Maw, she has now returned to the Pale City. She needs to know if Mono is alive or not. She faces new monsters, old monsters, and painful memories are everywhere. Will she make it to the one place she hates the most, the one place she needs to go, the one place she left Mono. The Signal Tower. Will she make it or will she fall victim to monsters.
