Following the end of the Second Wizarding War, many are struggling to get back to any semblance of normal. Loved ones had been killed, homes had been ruined, friends had turned out to be Death Eaters. The world so many had grown up in was destroyed, with only the idea of hope left behind.

It didn't take long for reports to come out, it seemed 53% of the wizarding population was killed, and so a vote was made to create a Marriage Law. A seemingly simple solution to a devastating problem.

Mia Asbury thought returning to Hogwarts to complete her seventh year would be nothing, she had, after all, survived a war. However, she now was faced with a battle unlike any one she had ever been through before.

Yet now she was faced with the marriage to the very person she had been hopeful to avoid, the painful reminder of her past, the friend she had lost. Draco Malfoy.
