Treading The Waters [on hold]

For the last seven years, Baya Mikaels has been living the fast life. Right out of high school she got the chance of a lifetime; to live her dream in LA as a songwriter. But are dreams always what you expect? It wasn't easy but Baya was independent and determined to stay afloat on her own.

That was until her inspiration ran dry and she realized that the one place that might help her was the last place she wanted to go. Her hometown. The place she ran from, filled with the people she left behind.

Jensen Keeler had to grow up faster than most. In one fell swoop, he lost his parents and shortly after, the love of his life. He then obtained guardianship of his three siblings, a business, and all the responsibilities that came with them. He worked himself to the bone to keep his family from sinking even if he barely kept his own head above water.

But what happens when his first love shows back up in town? Jensen never wanted to see Baya again. Definitely not as his new neighbor and certainly not attached at the hip with his traitorous sister.

Baya and Jensen are not the same people they were seven years ago. The feelings they shared are muddied from neglect, yet still fighting their way through.

So why does it suddenly feel like maybe together, they wouldn't have to fight to stay afloat?
