Percy and Annabeth start normal life again after The Giant War. But there dreams of a life together, and of New Rome cease when Annabeth's nightmares return. She's severally threatened by her past and has to escape if she wants to live. Either way Percy also fights restlessly to keep her safe, but his emotions and trails weigh on him. This nightmare they thought was gone forever had returned. But it's all to late for Luke Castellan. Jealousy and Vengeance take over him, and he'll go through any lengths to make Annabeth come crawling back into his arms.
