Inexpiable (Jegulus)
James Potter, concerned about his best friend-Sirius Black-not responding to his letters, writes to Regulus Black in a moment of desperation. Ever since Sirius's escaped from his family, James cannot stop wondering if Regulus is alright now that he is alone. James tries to talk to Regulus when they return to Hogwarts, hoping to become closer to him. He knows he should not approach Regulus. He knows Regulus is his best friend's younger brother. He knows Sirius would be furious. But he also knows that the curiosity of the forbidden and the allure of secrets make him feel alive. Once actions are taken, they cannot be undone. NOTE: The story is a bit based in All The Young Dudes by MsKingBean89- That can be found in Ao3. Like the first part of the letters, and some context of the story. But everything else is all my work. Prologue "Hagrid give him with me." Sirius begged the big hairy man. "I'm sorry, I can't give him with yeh. Dumbledore asked me to bring him." Hagrid answered. "Lily and James would never want Petunia and Vernon to raise them." Sirius said. "I'm sorry Sirius." Hagrid said. "Please, I'm his godfather." Sirius begged. The big hairy man looked in young Sirius his eyes. They were full of tears not only did he loose his best friends that night but one of his friends betrayed them but because Hagrid won't give him his godson. "Please?" Sirius begged. "All right. But I can't promise Dumbledore won't come and pick him up." Hagrid said. Sirius thanked him and went with the young Harry Potter to his home where his husband was waiting on the couch. "They didn't make it." Sirius said, "did they get Peter?" Remus asked. "No, that coward transformed into a rat and ran away." I answered. "at least Harry is safe." He said. Saving him
This idea just popped into my head sorry if it's bad. Regulus saves James. Jegulus. Love between the two and the dramatic parting. It's better than the description I hope. I don't own these characters but the idea did come to my mind by itself sorry if it's already around. Word count: 10 610Complete
