They are said to be from a different timeline and are causing chaos in other realms and timelines. Blue then must join forces with her friends to go around the multiverse and prevent an multiverse threatening war.

Unwanted protection
Everyone knows the Star Sanses: they're the Guardians of the Multiverse, and protect it from Nightmare and his minions, who only want to spread chaos and destruction. They're kind, strong, brave, the good guys! How can you not love them? You can't. They deserve the world. They're perfect and selfless and precious, and must be protected at any (and I do mean ANY) cost. Not that they couldn't protect themselves, of course! It's just, the Multiverse doesn't give them the appreciation and respect they deserve, not really. But Nightmare, Error, Horror, Killer, Dust, Cross... they know how much Dream, Ink and Blue are worth. And they'll keep them safe. Forever.
