This story is about a guy named Dan Murdock who's highly intelligent freaks people out. Dan has always been a big fan of Sherlock Holmes and what he stands for. Sherlock has also inspired Dan to become a detective and become work against the crimes. Dan over time becomes a detective but slowly starts to get extremely bored but then one case, a mystery arrives which startles him.

This story is to be understood as a continuation of the oneshots "Pants", so you should have read it before. It's about how John struggles to teach Sherlock a little bit to understand the social interactions of his fellow men. There's this man next door who fascinates me. He can know your whole life story by looking at you. He is a high functioning sociopath who loves a good murder. His name is Sherlock Holmes. He is one of the most soulless, judgmental, insensitive people I've ever met.... But I love him.

This isn't your average detective story, in most detective stories, readers don't know who committed the crime until the detective pieces the clues together and figures it out. This story's different, the readers will get to see the crime unfold, at the beginning, and the mystery and the fun, for the readers, is trying to see if they can find the clues that will lead Lieutenant Columbo to the culprit and seeing the tricks he uses to get to the culprit. Based on the TV show Columbo. . . . In this story, Lieutenant Columbo's wife has been captured, in Florida. Lieutenant Columbo has to figure out who captured her and where she's being held hostage.

The first in a series titled, "The Bizarre Cases of a Non-Magical Detective." The story follows the main characters, Dev and Bit, as the investigate a magic town. They went to the town in hopes of solving a simple case, but end up wrapped into something much bigger.
