In the year 2022, a VRMMORPG called Sword Art Online is released. A total of 10,000 players log into the game, including a boy named Akiri Shiranobu. 

He and all the other players soon discovered that they are unable to log out and that if they were to suffer in-game death, they would also die in real life. The only way to free themselves, is to clear the game. 

See the journey of a boy, who is forced to fight for his life. Witness the rise of the Crimson Swordsman.
