Forever and before

There were once shape shifters, but they died out during the toxic war. Now with the shape shifters gone the Others roam and they spread toxic waste wherever they go. After years of running, the humans that were left alive went into hiding. No one was safe in the cities so they all wandered out toward the open, where they didn't survive for long. The others evolved and they learned how to fly. Only few humans still survive and now the pressure is on them, only they can save their planet from the Others.
To Tonya nothing matters more than keeping her brother alive. They're marked and could end the Others rule over mankind, but they don't know it. Whimsy knows of a worrier rising, but can't admit it to anyone but her son, and thought to be the last shape shifter, Steven.
