Evelyn was different. She always had been.
But now, everything had changed.
She was different, simply because she was alive.
And it nearly broke her heart.

A lot had changed in the years since the Pevensies left. The golden ages were long gone, and the consequences were obvious. Slowly, painfully, Evelyn had watched her friends die, fighting for the freedom of a country she knew wouldn't come for a while. She had watched, and waited, wishing for a sign, for something to give her hope.

But it never came.

Now, nearly one thousand years later, Evelyn had gotten used to the broken soul of her home. The heartache she felt was simply a part of her. She had nearly given up, and she was fine with that.

But one night, after a burning accident and a bright celebration, she hears a sound she hasn't heard for many years. And she knows the time has come.

Evelyn's one wish has finally come true, after centuries of longing.

But does she even want it anymore?

I FINALLY PUBLISHED THE SEQUEL!!!!

I'm so excited for the next part in Evelyn's story!

For the newbies, this is a Chronicles of Narnia fanfiction. It follows the plot of 'Prince Caspian', but the first book in this trilogy is set during 'The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe'. That book is called 'The Forgotten', and you can find it on my profile.
