When a labor shortage hits a corporate-sponsored colony, the powers-that-be are forced to resort to "non-traditional" ways of filling the job market-namely, splicing machine parts with reanimated dead colonists. These formerly-dead-or Remnants, as Corporate likes to call them-work very hard for zero pay, all in the hopes that they might one day be able to finally rest in peace.

Detective Constable Two-Zero-Six is one of these working stiffs. Their second-life is nothing if not monotonous, investigating the same kinds of petty crimes that they handled in their first-life. That is, until a Remnant is brutally slain, and the human police pawn the case off on Two-Zero-Six because, well, the Remnant wasn't "technically" alive. Now, charged with solving what no one is sure actually counts as a murder, Two-Zero-Six must track down the killer all while navigating what it means to be human...again.

Murder Drones: Specters, écrit par GRANDWIZZARD24
20 chapitres En cours d'écriture Contenu pour adultes
In the year 3049, humanity faced a cataclysmic event known as the "Assimilation," a disaster brought about by the emergence of an entity referred to as the Absolute Solver. It is an extremely advanced, hostile, eldritch intelligence of unknown origin that seeks to consume all life. It also has the power to create singularities that destroy entire planets. The Absolute Solver manifested on Earth when a drone self-rebooted after its termination and improper disposal, possessing its body, and setting its plans in motion by converting all of the drone servants of humanity into disassembly drones who were programmed to hunt and prey upon humans in its goal of exterminating humanity. Meet Corporal J. Anders, though his teammates simply call him Jake. He is a Specter, an elite breed of super soldier designed for one purpose-fighting the unstoppable. Specters were engineered into three specialized divisions: Jaegers, masters of frontline combat; Neuro-Cybernetics, enhanced with cutting-edge cybernetic augmentations; and Recon, experts in stealth, infiltration, and intelligence gathering. Now, humanity has discovered a way to fight back against these relentless machines-a hastily developed but promising program designed to sever the connection between the Murder Drones and their master, the Solver. It's far from complete, an unfinished prototype with the potential to turn the tide of war. But time is running out. Our mission is clear: get the program back to our new bunker world, the last refuge of humanity, where it can be perfected and mass-produced. If we succeed, we might finally have a weapon strong enough to cripple the Murder Drones once and for all. If we fail... there may not be a second chance.

All have secrets and all intend to hide them, some break their creators, and some devour them. The nations mourn the years of countless bloodshed and a new ailing world hindering progress. All of them so interlaced and so ever tragic the corporations hold their power, wealth and a lake of lies so they can sleep and breathe easy. But Octane wasn't innocent, nor without their lies and their pasts. Far from the earth near Neptune a ship or a drifting hall of metal and people strays across the inky black world known as space. Alongside the ship also known as Blackwater, a massive ship housing many labs and secrets, those being too many to count, yet Octane had one they would never know of until it was ready, bio clones and mechanical bio clones, human and machine-like human slaves to serve Octane. A cycle once ended now started up again with human-like machines and humans unknowing of freedom until the secrets bleed out and the station and its people are murdered by beastly mutant clones writhing in pain and too far gone to restore. Yosten and Soraka have been on the ship for five years since the fall of Blackwater and they still struggle to survive and deal with the gnawing question of morality and identity. Time is ticking down with the corporation realising what needs to be done but the desperate survivors don't know this and so the oblivious journey begins for escape, even as the devouring question of identity crumbles Yosten's sanity. Soraka struggles to fix the ship before it crashes smack bang into Neptune and kills them both leaving their history worthless, a gamble neither needed or wanted to do, all while the cities and nations flourish and the corporations rule. New London rules all Mankind while the many who flee homes and struggle to survive are a constant cycle of the greed and repeating collapse of desperate life and survival. Yosten and Soraka may face the same but they do not know if they are the same.

Ah yes Copper nine, what a wonderful planet for worker drones, well except for the murder drones sent to kill them. Only one worker stands between the fate of the worker drones and the fate of the murder drones. Warning: this book contains adult scenes, crazy references, sick moves, romance, and FILLERS. Let me [BEEP] sleep!

19 chapitres En cours d'écriture

Copper-9, an exoplanet with minerals to mine and a cheap, easy-to-make work force to mine them: Worker Drones. With Worker Drones comes Disassembly Drones, their "natural" predators. Sent from beyond to slaughter all of the cowardly workers who hide in bunkers for fear of death. Except Mallory. The bastard only stays inside to sleep all day in a nice warm bed and gives lip to anyone that wakes him up. So when a surprisingly short Murder Drone waltzes right into the bunker, panic ensues, and panic makes noise, and noise tends to wake people up. == Story of a sleepy eepy guy who wishes to his sleep paralysis demon that people would leave him the [BEEP] alone. But where's a good story where everything goes the way someone wants? Got the idea from some art randomly and thought, " Ay, that's pretty good."
