Welcome to Simblic, or better known as the city that never sleeps. It's a dark and quite aesthetically pleasing place, perfect for photo shoots or just a drive around to relax the nerves. The weather is always rain with relatively clear skies at night and that's it. There is no day, and the city is always active somehow. Most of the time it's relatively quiet but sometimes quiet isn't always good. You work as a police officer in the bustling city of Simblic. There has been a recent spike in murders and disappearances and you were sent to investigate these recent strings of odd cases and figure out what exactly is going on here. And by the looks of it.... You might've bitten off more than you can chew, officer.
All characters, realms, places and lore in this story belongs to me. This story is completely fictional and does contain blood, murder, drugs, sex, violence, talk of suicide, abuse, alcohol and many other possibly triggering topics like mention of rape or sexual abuse. If you cannot stand mentioning of these topics please do not read. If you still wish to read a book about everyone's favorite murder man, Piss and his pretty parasite then please check out any of my other books that might have short fics of him in it or just a whole ass book that's less gruesome than this.

30 Days, 30 Stories: A Writing Challenge
This is a 30 day writing challenge, a collection of short stories. I've always been a world class procrastinator. The goal of this challenge is to get me writing regularly and, hopefully, break me of the perfectionist thinking that often paralyses me. The Rules: 1. Write and publish 1 short story (flash fic, vignette) per day for 30 days. 2. Stories must be at least 100 words. 3. They can be of any genre or subject matter. Like a lot of writers I have notebooks lying around full of random story ideas. Most of my older ideas are for novels and screenplays. Been going thru my old ideas and picking out the ones I think lend themselves to the short story format. I'm also working on coming up with NEW ideas that I can use here. Never been good at using prompts, but this is a good opportunity to experiment with those. All the stories here are original works written specifically for this challenge. The Lies We Follow
Chicago, 1947. They say the city never sleeps, but from where I stand, it doesn't just stay awake-it festers. The streets hum with life, from the crowded tenements to the smoke-filled clubs, but beneath the noise, there's always something darker. I've walked these streets long enough to know one thing: the truth is a slippery thing, and everyone's got their own version of it. The name's Adam Cole, detective with the Chicago Police Department. I didn't ask for this new role in Homicide-hell, I spent years avoiding it. Narcotics was messy, sure, but it wasn't this. The kind of cases we get here don't just stop at the victim. Gummy Bears on his mind, Murder on his trail
On a cold, windy night, Detective Dwith set out on his usual stroll, hoping a bag of gummy bears would ease his headache and clear his mind. The quiet streets hummed with the occasional rustling of leaves, the glow of streetlights flickering in the distance. As he wandered through the shop, a sudden, sharp bang shattered the silence. Instinct took over. He rushed towards the source of the sound-an unlit alley shrouded in darkness. There, in the dim glow of a flickering lamp, he saw it. A murder in progress. Before he could react, the killer bolted. Dwith lunged forward, his heart pounding, but before he could close the distance, searing pain exploded in his skull. A cold, unforgiving metal rod struck him from behind. His vision blurred, the world spinning as he collapsed to the ground. Just before everything faded to black, his gaze landed on something peculiar-a backpack. A single phrase was scrawled across it in bright, playful letters: "Hi Kitten." The Drafted Reality and Dreams
It was a dark cold night-the night where the birds lay dead on the cold ground, listening in to the deceased whispers. This is the night where blood was once spilled. Jeremy hid behind a tree, holding on his thigh-his thigh was bleeding as he got stabbed. Jeremy looked at his wound, cursing under his breath. Jeremy looked around to see if anyone was nearby, there wasn't anyone nearby but he could hear the screaming of his pals. He could do nothing but to weep, he got out of his hiding spot and went deeper into the woods. He was wincing in pain as he dragged his injured leg. It was dark, too dark to the point even the moonlight couldn't provide light. Jeremy tripped over a tree root, he winced in pain, squeezing his injured thigh in pain. He soon heard a twig being snapped close to him. He pulled himself together, getting back on his feet. Dragging his leg once more. This time he raised the pace, panicking as he knew that he was being followed. He soon came across an abandoned truck that was in a small field. He smiled in relief, getting inside of the truck. He heard movement from his right, seeing a silhouette of a being that was coming closer to him. He panicked, climbing to the other seat to close the door. Once the door was closed, he locked the doors-backing away after. The door handle was being pulled aggressively but soon stopped. He took off his jacket and wrapped it around his thigh, he winced in pain as he made it tight. He looked around the truck, trying not to move too much. He eventually found a pen and a piece of paper.
