Welcome to Simblic, or better known as the city that never sleeps. It's a dark and quite aesthetically pleasing place, perfect for photo shoots or just a drive around to relax the nerves. The weather is always rain with relatively clear skies at night and that's it. There is no day, and the city is always active somehow. Most of the time it's relatively quiet but sometimes quiet isn't always good. You work as a police officer in the bustling city of Simblic. There has been a recent spike in murders and disappearances and you were sent to investigate these recent strings of odd cases and figure out what exactly is going on here. And by the looks of it.... You might've bitten off more than you can chew, officer.
All characters, realms, places and lore in this story belongs to me. This story is completely fictional and does contain blood, murder, drugs, sex, violence, talk of suicide, abuse, alcohol and many other possibly triggering topics like mention of rape or sexual abuse. If you cannot stand mentioning of these topics please do not read. If you still wish to read a book about everyone's favorite murder man, Piss and his pretty parasite then please check out any of my other books that might have short fics of him in it or just a whole ass book that's less gruesome than this.

The Lies We Follow
Chicago, 1947. They say the city never sleeps, but from where I stand, it doesn't just stay awake-it festers. The streets hum with life, from the crowded tenements to the smoke-filled clubs, but beneath the noise, there's always something darker. I've walked these streets long enough to know one thing: the truth is a slippery thing, and everyone's got their own version of it. The name's Adam Cole, detective with the Chicago Police Department. I didn't ask for this new role in Homicide-hell, I spent years avoiding it. Narcotics was messy, sure, but it wasn't this. The kind of cases we get here don't just stop at the victim. They spiral outward, touching lives, stirring whispers, and pulling you into places you'd rather not go. My new partner, Dawson, seems green-too lighthearted for this line of work. But maybe there's something behind her smile, something I haven't seen yet. Or maybe she'll get eaten alive by the weight of what's to come. Time will tell. All I know is, this city has a way of dragging you into its lies and making you follow them, whether you want to or not. My first case in Homicide is shaping up to be a tangle of deceit, with more questions than answers. But if there's one thing I've learned, it's this: the deeper you dig, the dirtier your hands get. And in a city like this, you'd better be ready to get filthy.

The Shadow Prospect {ONC}
For all obvious reasons to his story, Cato should be dead. By some miracle, he's not. Somehow surviving a brutal attack, he wakes up instead to the insistent beeping of hospital equipment, to be told he's the only suspect for the same murder case he was rescued from, found clutching the bloody weapon in one hand with absolutely no clue of how it got there and no evidence to point elsewhere. And the biggest problem? He has no memory of that night. The murder wiped clean, just as bare as the evidence of the case, making it impossible to know the truth. But as his journey to finding the truth continues he can't ignore the growing nagging in his gut that there's more to this. Something else was there that night. Someone. 30 Days, 30 Stories: A Writing Challenge
This is a 30 day writing challenge, a collection of short stories. I've always been a world class procrastinator. The goal of this challenge is to get me writing regularly and, hopefully, break me of the perfectionist thinking that often paralyses me. The Rules: 1. Write and publish 1 short story (flash fic, vignette) per day for 30 days. 2. Stories must be at least 100 words. 3. They can be of any genre or subject matter. Like a lot of writers I have notebooks lying around full of random story ideas. Most of my older ideas are for novels and screenplays. Been going thru my old ideas and picking out the ones I think lend themselves to the short story format. I'm also working on coming up with NEW ideas that I can use here. Never been good at using prompts, but this is a good opportunity to experiment with those. All the stories here are original works written specifically for this challenge. If Looks Could Kill
All of the men holding up the serial killer somehow manage to shove him into a police car. They lock the door behind him and Barrett lets out a sigh of relief. The police have got it covered from here. He takes his hand out of his pocket, letting go of his gun and zips up his jacket. With that, he turns and quietly makes his way out of the crowd of people. Everyone pretty much ignores him, still trying to get a look at what's going on in their usually still neighborhood. The streets get darker and darker the farther Barrett walks away from the police lights. Every other street in this town is still fast asleep, with no idea of what could have happened just a block away from them. But it had been prevented. All thanks to him. Barrett finally comes upon his car, and slips inside. It's already way warmer than the outside air, so he lets out a small sigh of relief. This mission is over and done with.
