The cops discover two people in a hotel room in the countryside of Europe. Abir Joseph, a photographer, is dead, while the other, Maya, a well-known businesswoman, is injured. Although no one was seen leaving and all available exits were in any case sealed from the inside, the woman maintains that there was an unnamed third party with them within those four walls. As a result, her guilt as a murderer is assumed, but Ms Maya isn't having it. She hires KK Mehta, an expensive attorney who specializes in 'preparing' witnesses and has never lost a case in his 36-year career. Arriving for a meeting with her to hear her version of events begins the storey. As she tells him about what happened between her and Joseph, the plot develops in a succession of flashbacks.
