Oliver Spencer is a sixteen-year-old openly gay American teenager who moves with his parents to a fictitious island in South America called Golden Island. Reluctantly, he was forced to leave his friends, his life, and especially his boyfriend Kelvin Sánchez, a seventeen-year-old boy whom he loves with all his heart. On the island, Oliver was entered in a private elite school called Collinwood, where he meets Sirilo Avallon, a seventeen-year-old native boy.

Sirilo is the most popular boy in school and also the best soccer player on the team, black and openly gay, he is terrible philanderer boy with an irresistible beauty, who lives collecting boys in a long list of conquests. Used to getting everything he wants, when he wants it, there has never been a boy who has rejected him, and with Oliver's arrival at school, Sirilo makes him his new conquest target, to add him to his long list of boys he has had sex with, but Oliver rejects him, so Sirilo makes a bet with his friends, promising that he will get to have sex with Oliver before the first semester is over.
