Liz Harrington is at peace with how things have turned out. At least, that's what she tells herself. After everything that went down in Hawkins last summer, she is happy to be away from the cursed town she grew up in. She's getting used to her new life at the Cincinnati Girl's Home in Ohio, even if it means being away from everybody she has ever loved. She finds it's better this way. Nothing to lose. No strings attached.
So when she is called back to Hawkins to testify at her father's court date, she's determined to complete her business and be rid of the town once more. But of course, things are a little more complicated than that, and once again Liz can feel the storm underneath her home beginning to brew.
