Michael Whitaker was raised to follow the light of the Goddess Daichi. He did so happily and without question until the day his mother died. Blaming the Goddess for the misfortunate that befell her the youth denounced his faith and has lived without it ever since.
Change is coming. A great storm brews that could plunge the continent of Mont into a darkness not seen for thousands of years, should the champion of the Goddess refuse to answer her call.

The elves, not wanting to lose their magical lands, fought for it. After years and years of bloodshed, both rulers thought it'd be best to stop this war, and cut off each other from their lives.
