He sat down at a quiet cafe. Originally, he planned to go straight home, crack open a bottle of soju, and drown the rest of the day in silence. He wasn't sure what stopped him-maybe the weight in his chest or the sudden ache to not be alone-but instead, he found himself walking into this small corner cafe, the smell of roasted beans calming something in him. As he glanced around, his eyes landed on her. A woman sitting by the window, nursing a cup of coffee. Her eyes were puffy, as if she had just cried, and she absentmindedly wiped at her cheeks with her sleeve. There was something fragile about her, yet she looked like she was trying to hold herself together. Without thinking much, he picked up his coffee and changed seats-walking right to the table in front of her. She looked up, startled, her hand frozen mid-sip. Her sniffle echoed between them. "Hey..." he said gently, offering a small smile. "Nice to meet you. I'm Kim Seokjin." He gave her a slight bow, trying not to scare her off. Just something about her sadness felt familiar.
