Artemis is the goddess of emotions, divination and shadows, but she doesn't know that. She always wanted to fight alongside her best friends Sif, Thor, the Warriors Three, and Loki. But her mother forbade it. She doesn't think it's ladylike to be a fighter. Secrets are kept, hearts are broken, trust is lost.
Loki and Sif are her favorite friends, but the ebony haired Prince of Asgard is something special. Each growing up with a parent that was disappointed in them, they understood each other's pain.
Artemis wanted to travel the Nine Realms, learning things about each culture. But when Odin falls into the Odinsleep and Loki crowns himself King, she is left picking up the pieces of their friendship, and what might have been more. It feels like the only thing she can do is watch as her best friend is consumed by power and pain.
