"I have something to tell you." I said a little nervous. He turned and gave me a confused look.

"Your not a boy right?" He asked me. My eyebrows came together.

"No." I said giggling and thinking. Why would he ask me that. He sighed in relief and took one of my hands.

"Then what's wrong Lilac?" He asked with worry.

"Well there's something I haven't been telling you." I told him while biting my lip. His grip tightened on my hand.

A delayed flight. A stranger at a hotel bar. A one night stand. Stranded in New York for an extra night than planned due to a delayed flight, I needed to find a way to keep myself occupied, and I soon found that something. It was easy enough when the handsome stranger introduced himself to me as Kade. It has been a while since I have had a hot one-night stand, and he reminds me how fun it can be. There are no questions, expectations or reasons to see one another again. What I don't expect is our night together to come around and bite me in the ass. When I arrive at a family dinner with my parents and two older sisters to celebrate my return home to Scotland, he is sitting right there with them. Not only is he my father's new business partner, but he is my sister's blind date set up by my parents. We pretend to be strangers because things would become complicated if we didn't. No one ever needs to know about what happened between us. My dad would freak out if he found out about us because he is overly protective of me as the youngest, and with the age gap between Kade and me, my father wouldn't approve. My relationship with my older sister is already strained; I don't need to make things worse between us. Even though he doesn't seem interested in her and he tries his best to show that it could still make all hell break lose. My sister hates losing. She always gets what she wants. I should stay away from him, but it is easier said than done with the tension and chemistry between us, and we struggle to fight against it. No matter what happens, it needs to be our secret to keep.

"You say you love me, yet you try to rip me apart limb by limb. I may not break easily, but the way you keep wearing me out all the time - well - I might as well just be made of paper. That way you wouldn't have to try hard to break me. One tear with your fingers and that's it. I'd be done for. Too bad that's not going to happen." *** "I want a kiss." He leans in a little, just enough to touch my hair. "Did you dye your hair purple?" he smirks, his famous smirk. I smack his hand away and he steps back. "It looks nice." He says softly. It sounded genuine. Like, 'the Carter Daniels' was actually giving me a compliment. He laughs, knowing I didn't expect him to say that to me. "Thanks." I say softly. Then, I casually lean into him, so close I can feel his breath hitch and his heart race. "Do you still want that kiss?" I whisper, seductively. Carter is frozen in place. I guess he wasn't expecting me to tease him back. I wasn't either. Now, it's like my body and mind aren't the same. But, I had to admit, it was fun teasing him like this. *** On the surface Lila seems like your everyday teenager in her junior year of high school, but if you look a little deeper, you will see something dark and uncertain lingering in the depths of Lila's life. Lila has always gotten out of her conflicts with her shyness, whether it be with her 'friends' and their abuse or Kevin's (Lila's older brother) best friend, Carter and his constant tormenting. But, when she decides to finally fight back against the binds that trap her from freedom, will Lila cower under the fear of her 'friends' or will she finally find her voice and free herself from the darkness that never wants to leave her? Finding Her Voice focuses in on a teenage girl's life named Lila. Follow her story as she gets into rancid blood baths with her (sort of) friends, trades insults with her older brother's best friend, and takes advice from her smarter, younger brother.

*Completed* "I just want to know why." I say as I turn over, trying to find his figure through the dark of my room. "Why what?" He asks. "Why you're being so nice to me." I say quietly, vulnerability seeping into my words. "How we even became friends." He sighs, "I want to know how." I scrunch my brow. "How what?" His response is soft, the opposite of his sarcastic personality. "How you don't see it." ******* Reagan Holt was about as average as a high school student could be. She didn't play any sports, didn't participate in the popular activities, and wasn't the girl all the boys chased after. All except one boy. He wrote her a letter every week. Each letter described something new for him to love about her. Whether it was how beautiful her laugh was or how his heart swelled with every smile she gave, he never failed to write how he felt. So the two should be together, right? That's the way Reagan wants it, but there's just one problem. He signs his letters "Love, Anonymous." Now add an obnoxious, conceited, sex god into the equation and you get a teenage girl confused on who really loves her. The sweet, tender written anonymous lover, or the cocky, ignorant asshole? -REVIEWS- "You create such wonderful characters and I can't wait to see what happens next!" She fell in love with the boy next door when she was just five years old. Despite Christian being 5 years older than Michelle, she would stop at nothing for him to return her love. "I felt tears welling up again. My silence forced him to look my way. I turned my head quickly hoping he wouldn't see me starting to cry. "I didn't realize I looked so bad in my bathing suit still..." I said quietly after a beat. "What do you mean?" he asked me confused. "Your reaction to how bad I looked, you told me to put my clothes back on..." I stopped trying not to cry and let a tear fall. "Shit, Michelle... You didn't look bad.... I was just.... Shocked. You look like you're going into college. That's a far cry from what you looked like at the beginning of the summer. Guys were gawking at you. I had to decide if I should stay and keep you covered up or go and knock them out, so they couldn't look at you." He stopped simply because he ran out of air. I was smiling by this point. "Oh, you find this amusing?" he asked. I chuckled. "Well, no. It's just, I thought I had really changed this Summer. I am starting middle school this week and I am super nervous about not being the fat nerd from last year..." Christian shook his head. "You have changed drastically. When you climbed into the van this morning, I barely recognized you. We can't go for months without seeing each other anymore because I won't know who you are if you keep growing up like this."

"So?" He looked confused. "She's y- your-" I gulped. "My what Aurora?!" He exclaimed angrily. I jumped. "Don't raise your voice at me! She's your daughter! The one night stand created her!" I yelled but not loud enough for any one else to hear. "What the-" he paused and looked at Ivory. I watched him silently. He turned to me again. "Would you say something?" I asked getting nervous. "What do you want me to fucking say?" He asked. "I don't know....." I trailed off. Humans make mistakes..... right? Yes, so therefore three people made mistakes that night. Logan made the first mistake. He cheated on Aurora. Aurora made the next mistake. She drank to forget the mistake Logan made. Ethan, the school's bad boy made the last mistake. He slept with Aurora without a condom. You know what that means yea? You're right, a baby comes. Ivory comes. (Baby gender revealed 😑) Aurora didn't tell the bad boy she was pregnant for him. But now she has the baby and she has to tell him right? I mean it's the only sane thing to do DNA is one of the solutions of course but not when the child looks exactly like Ethan. 😉. The bad boy is obviously not the most sociable person so it wasn't easy of course. For heaven's sake he doesn't even know this girl. But y'all agree that it's not easy to remember a one night stand when you've had many? Well....he remembered actually. Let's get into the story peeps!!!! See you there 😊
