Its January 1942 the United States had joined World War 2 only a month earlier. The attack on Pearl Harbor sparked a fire in many young men to join the fight. The same was true for Matthew. It wasn't long before he was being shipped off to Europe along with thousands of others. The diffrence was he had already been to war almost 30 years before, he hasn't aged a day.
