Taking place in 1962 Liverpool, Jessica Andrews is a new college student flown in from the United States to attend university at one of Liverpool's most prestigious of academies. Unfortunately being a new student, she has yet to make any friends. Although she doesn't plan on letting that be the case for long for she sets out anywhere she can in an attempt to find a friend.

When Grandmother Esther finds Ollie and Paul together, she forbids them from ever seeing each other again.
