You and Rin have been best friends since kindergarten. You always spent hours over at the monastery with Rin and his brother Yukio. You didn't have any other friends but none of that mattered as long as you could spend time with them. It was all perfect. WAS perfect. It all changed that one tragic night, the blue night. Murdering both of you're parents, you were taken in by you're drunk uncle and away from the life you loved. Neglected and abused, you hated every second of existence. You held onto hope that one day you'll see Rin again. Once you were old enough, you finally got to leave. You leave everything behind, you're childhood erased from your memory. You begin to focus on school, studying for hours, everyday. Your handwork pays off as you are granted a scholarship at True Cross Academy. Overwhelmed and thrilled, you get ready for your fist day of school. On your way there, you make sure to stop by your parents cemetery to tell them the news. Once you get there, you notice a boy, head lowered to the ground, mourning. You heart aches for him as you know how it feels to lose a loved one. He raises his head up to the sky and his eyes are empty. As if he's lost a piece of himself. Someone else comes up from behind him and softly places his hand on his shoulder. "C'mon Rin. Lets go." Wrote this wayyy back when. Instead of having it just sit in my drafts, why not post it? Not sure if I'll continue it though. T-T Still-enjoy this little short story:)
