It's a race between Time and Age. Fifteen year old Fawn is one of the Characters. In other words, she is the character in your book. She's Little Red Riding Hood. She's Annabeth Chase. She might even be Katniss Everdeen! Who really knows? A Character is a child chosen to be thrown into a book to play the life of the characters in it. They go through and feel every dimension of wonder your characters go through each day. Which mainly means pain, heartbreak, lust, and love. And then they leave the story after it ends. Fawn does not like being a Character. She wants to be a writer herself; not the puppet doing all of the acting. She wants to create, not to present. So when she finds another Character named Nico... she thinks she might have a shot after all. After battling gorgons, riding atop dragons, making trades with homeless people, and even going to the future, is there any hope for Fawn and Nico to escape their fates... before they die? "Love is a painful enemy," as Nico says. "But clam chowder can be your best friend."

The original title was "Percabeth Neighbors" but I changed it :D Annabeth Chase has always been abused. Her father more or less ignores it, or pretends his wife is just a perfect angel. Annabeth has seen things nobody else has, including scars and blood worthy of a murder scene. Nobody seems to want to help her. Percy Jackson just got a restart, but was his new life actually better? Bad luck struck his family, friends, and even his little sister. His grades slip, and dark thoughts seep into his mind. There's no way he'll survive with the harm he's facing. When the two bond over a shared experience and finally get together, will their problems be fixed? Or will the two face even more diversity than before?
