The Deal Of Deals

Who would have thought a single deal, An agreement, Would lead to all the chaos caused?

A small, Unnecessary deal, That was all it was but yet, It wasn't just that. It had been a complete turnover of our lives, Making us wonder where we began and where we would end.

It wasn't just a deal, It was The Deal, The deal which had changed our lives forever but we still hadn't figured out whether it had been for good or for bad.

It was the Deal of Deals.

"This is ridiculous, Vincent." I say, Looking at him with a frown on my face. I took a sip of my coffee, Fixing my gaze on the layer of snow, Coating the road with white. We were seated in a cafe, To talk it all out, To know what had gone wrong and how.

Oh, And I was yet to know why he thought this would help us.

"You don't get it, Cass." He said, A small smile playing on his lips. The tip of his nose and ears had a tinge of red on them, Probably due to the cold. I pulled at my scarf, Securing it around my neck.

"That's exactly what I mean, I don't get how this would help." I say, Lowering my eyes to the cup.

"Which is why you are here."
