During the mid-1980s, a mysterious virus began to wreck havoc on the entire planet, birthing a new species of mindless hunters known as taberu. To fight these creatures, a global network of warriors was born. These warriors were trained to serve the wealthy elite, leaving the poor and middle class defenseless in the streets. The world was thrown into an era of chaos that seemed to have no end.
The current year is 2057, nearly seventy years after the initial outbreak. The sons of two caretakers are determined to put an end to the waking nightmare on the streets of New York City. One, a fading light in his solitude, the other bitter and cruel from years of desire for vengeance. What they hope to achieve, as well as what they gain along the way, make it clear that all is not what it seems...
