Elves were an interesting species, to say the least, and King Vaeril was just that. Although he was older than most around him, the elven age being twice the dwarven, he still seemed connected to his people.

Unlike others, his parents did spoil him with riches, but he tended to hang around the poorer folks. Luckily for him, he learned to be more humble than other lords.

To outsiders, the elves were looked at like "angels", being so ethereal in looks and attitude that people tended to fond over them.

But this man wasn't like the rest. Falling, or well, stumbling into the king's life was not a part of the plan. He never needed an assassin, but with mercenaries in every corner, he starts to believe this man was put into his life for a reason.

In the past two hundred years of existing, he's never felt this way before. This man is going to end up changing his entire life without realizing it.
