For as long as anyone could remember, nymphs have remained safely hidden from their human neighbours. Residing in the depths of the forest, Winter knows to never venture too close towards the edge of the woods. However, she is different from the other nymphs, and they don't accept her. In an attempt to find temporary sanctuary away from her kind, she stumbles across a mysterious, and possibly dangerous, man. She knows it isn't smart to be near, let alone interact with this man, but she just can't seem to stay away... Rowan Irvine had always been told she was childish. Her room was lined with stuffed animals and drawn-on walls. But the summer of her senior year Rowan's parents decide to move to a "sweet little town in the middle of nowhere". With a town, new home, and no friends she thought she'd have to leave her childish ways behind and grow up. Be helpful, no more made up creatures or stories or adventures. But "middle of nowhere" meant by an enormous, looming forest. And "sweet" meant the town held more secrets than it's residents. And "no more stories" meant Rowan was about to become part of a story more dark and dangerous than she could have ever imagined. Perhaps more than she ever wanted to imagine. Wei Ying was thrown into the burial mounds by Wen Chao, he found Went Ning and together they managed to survive. When he got out, the war at nightless city was still going on, but with Wei Ying they managed to defeat the Wen's but ended up being exhausted at the end of the fight. Lan Zhan got worried over him because of the amount of resentful energy that Wei Ying held and ultimately decided to take him to cloud recesses. Wei Ying grew inseparable from Lan Zhan and always got tense when he was alone, he only felt safe around Lan Zhan, and it confused him because he had two amazing siblings and Lan Xichen was also extremely kind and on some level he did also feel safe with them but he never felt fully safe until he was with Lan Zhan. Lan Zhan on the other hand always tried his best to make Wei Ying feel safe and talk to him about how he was feeling, which always seemed to help the younger. The two had gotten to a point where they would spend every day and night together, becoming inseparable from each other, and that's when they both realized that they had feelings for each other.
