Alice always new she was different from the day she electrocuted the neighbors cat. Strange things always seemed to happen when she was around, and her parents seemed to be hiding something from her. She tells herself that she's a bad person, but her parents call her "Special." Yeah, special as in insane. But when her parents ship her off to Maine to attend a boarding school she's never heard of, she realizes that the aches in her back, and her extreme headaches are the result of qualities she never imagined she would have. 

She soon realized that the professors at the school seem to be hiding something. They always teach students things that seem to be completely irrelevant, and when the students ask why, they seem to all stick to different lies.

In the end, what do you do when your closest friend betrays you? This is the story as they try to keep their biggest darkest secret of what they are capable of and as they discover they're not the only ones like them... I am not very good at trigger warnings before individual chapters but there is mention of blood, cold abuse and parents divorcing. (But read at your own risk in case I mention something else. I am working on rewriting this story and when I do there will be the trigger warnings in the correct places.) (small teaser.) No one sees me. I am a ghost. I brush against the wooden fence.
