Leaving four children at home alone doesn't seem as a crime, right? Well, Sam and his three other siblings Keith, Mel, and the youngest, Michael are left home alone for a month. With their parents gone, the kids are overjoyed because well, they're alone at home for a solid month. The only real threat to them is their neighbor of seven years, Mrs. B. She was instructed to check up on the kids once and a while. What she doesn't know is that at night, one of the "crew" sneaks out after curfew and gets into trouble. What happens when one child digs his/her hole to deep? Will they all end up prisoned with strangers or will they never get to see their parents again?

Once he turns 18, he'll be a legal adult and nobody will be able to separate him from his grandfather. He just has to hold out one more year. But it isn't easy. Everyone needs friends, and now this Anne girl has singled him out. Part of him aches for human contact, and he's not immune to her quirky sense of humor, but she might be totally insane. She's practically stalking him, and if he befriends her, she might find out about his grandfather and ruin his plan. But what if he just wrote her back?

In any case, it is revealed that all is not well within the family behind the smoke and mirrors. They try to move on from the tragedy of their loss but things just continue to get worse for them as their whole world starts to crumble and the family deteriorates. They are in for a big surprise when they eventually realize that the people around them are not who they appear to be. It's a matter of being deceived by the people they trusted. It seemed obvious who did it, but as the murderer wrote her confession, a completely different murder occurs across town. Shocked, the police rush over to gather the evidence and clues, but before they even assemble their evidence, the police are led to another death. One by one, deaths occur around town, faster than the police can count. There's not much in common with all of the murders, only the fact that all of the victims come from one class. In the course on one year, the class of 18 shrinks drastically. PART 2 As summer vacation begins, the remains of the class split. Five students tell their stories of meeting new people, near death experiences, and funny incidences. PART 3 More than what meets the eye happened in the course of the summer. The class comes back to a new year, utterly shocked to find that 4 new students have joined their class. Everything starts out alright, but people are getting frantic. The government sent in spies to watch the class for suspicious behavior, two of them students themselves. Two other students are hired to try to figure things out on their own. What nobody realizes however, is what's important. Rules for Enduring the Sweenys

Owen (17), Eli (15), Danny (10), and Lucy (3). Despite the protests of her over-protective siblings (she's the ninth member of the dozen Harken "siblings"), she decides to live up to the challenge. She's never backed away from a challenge before, so why start now? Even if it means "babysitting" a boy that she's known since she was six. The Sweeny brothers, will do ANYTHING to get rid of Bella for good, so that their mother will FINALLY remember that they exist. Besides, battling Bella in the game of wits and pranks has been far more fun than they'll ever let her know. After a year, they still have not come to terms with the fact that she's there to stay. When one normal seeming weekend, begins to slide downhill at a rapid pace, Bella's rocky, mysterious past begins to haunt her, and the rest of her town. Will the Sweenys and the Harkens finally rebuild the bridge that had been torn down in an equally as mysterious strife, or will they revert back to the hatred and loathing they've known for so long?
