She always seemed to smell like strawberry soda on a warm summer day. That was the first and last thing I noticed about Roxanne Benton. She was the last thing I expected to love about a town that doesn't even show up on a map. After the tragedy of leaving my hometown right before my senior year I was counting the seconds before I could go back. But then I met her.
