What if before Dream's betrayal, there was a bit more to the story? What if the one who churned chaos was a demon that took the shape of his body? What if after all these years, Dream was never present?
5 years ago, Dream commenced a journey to explore a new cave system. The moment he stepped foot into the stony abyss was the day he never saw the light again... or not? Maybe a loud bickering teenager in exile fell through a hole and found a beautiful boy frozen in ice. Now, this is where their story began.
Quick note: I have never followed the DreamSMP story. However, I've read hundreds of angst dream fanfics, therefore, i wanted my own take on it. Not just the typical dream in prison one. I'm sorry if I get any of the story wrong, I just love cottagecore/soft dream. Enjoy the story!! :)

Throughout his time locked up in the Pandora's Vault prison, there have only been two constants in Dream's life. Regular torture at the hands of Quackity... and Sam's gentle care following it. Lonely and tormented, Dream finds himself falling for the warden who has looked after him for so long. When Sam saves Dream from dying in a particularly horrendous torture session, Dream becomes more convinced than ever that Sam loves him too. Now he just has to encourage his beloved warden to admit it. Fic is about characters, not content creators. Please mind all tags, while this has some fluff it will also delve into dark territory involving graphic violence, torture, and sexual content that may verge on dubcon. One of the worst things that happened to Tommy and believe me, loads of bad things has happened to him. But being stuck in a single place, far away from his friends and family and with a blob that has taken two of his canon lives and who may have plans of his own, has to be up there in Tommy's list of Worse Things that Has Happened to Me. So he ran away. Whether he snuck into Technoblade's house was intentional or not is honestly up in the air to debate. But when it came to it, Tommy had two choices. To stay with his supposed elder brother who is not dead or go back to the people who turned their backs on him. He picked the first choice.
