His nostrils flared and anger radiated off of him.

I trembled under his intense gaze, but still refused to back down.

"What man is greater than I, Lorelei? What man would conquer the whole continent for you like I would?"

He didn't take his eyes off of me, instead slowly making his way closer.

"I've waited for you, since the moment I laid my eyes on you, I knew you were destined to be mine. " His voice was low but threatening.

"So this man you speak of, the one who owns your heart, let his name be forgotten or let him die by my hands. It's all your choice, my love."

The words that let his mouth were dripping with venom and the thought of Braxtons death was almost too much to bare.

As much as I wished to cling to our memories together, I loved him too much. To the point of never wishing for him to be hurt. The only good I could do for him was to let him go.
